Storytelling, conversation, music, comedy, puppetry, and dancing bring the power of performance, song, and laughter to uplift the life experience of isolated elders living with dementia, and their caregivers.

Let me just tell you how absolutely phenomenal the show was today! This is such an understatement as I feel like I just don’t quite have the words to describe how entertaining it really was! This to me was Genius! In this particular setting, it is so perfect that many of my residents who we can barely capture their attention due to their Dementia, were literally laughing and smiling! I myself could not stop smiling to a point that my face hurt! This exceeded my expectations BEYOND what I could have imagined! I have worked in this field as a Director of Activities and now a Corporate Director, and this by far is THE BEST PERFORMANCE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN THIS ENVIRONMENT! This should be offered to all senior facilities worldwide!! - Atiya Hagans, Activities Director, Peachtree Creek Memory Care Senior Community

I have firsthand seen the joy, excitement, and laughter that this group has brought to the residents. As the Life Enrichment Director these kinds of interactions are the ones that I long for them to continue to have. Seniors living with Dementia suffer a lot of loss, and this group has the ability to bring out positive emotions and feelings that they don’t always experience. I’m extremely thankful for the Unexpected Encores visits because I can truly see what it has done for the community here at Wesley Woods Towers. - Lauryn Ransom, Life Enrichment Director, Wesley Woods Towers
